The following is a list of products I can offer.
Schwing Bioset has been a leader in the field of moving "hard to move" material
of all kinds for many years and I am proud to work with them. Feel free to
contact me with any questions or concerns.
Vertical / Horizontal Plane
Schwing Bioset pumps can be configured in either a vertical
place (material cylinder located above each other in the same vertical plane) or
in the horizontal plane (material cylinders located next to each other in the
same horizontal plane) depending on the arrangement that best suits the
application.
Poppets
Schwing Bioset employs the use of a Poppet Valve on a piston
pump when slurries and compressible materials are being pumped. The poppet
valve isolates the pump from the pipeline at the completion of a pumping stroke
and prevents material from back-flowing into the pump and decreasing its
efficiency.
Rock Valve
No other sequencing valve combines lowest cost per yard
maintenance costs and ease of rebuilding as the Rock Valve. With over twenty
years of development and field-tested toughness, the Rock Valve from Schwing
remains the most effective valve available on the market for uncompressible
materials.
Hydraulic Power Packs
Schwing Bioset’s piston pumps are operated via a hydraulic power
pack and controlled by variable displacement hydraulic pumps. No VFD’s are
required for Schwing Bioset pumping systems as the pump speed is controlled by
the variable displacement of the hydraulic pump. In fact, the pumps are
even switched hydraulically which has proven over the years to be an extremely
reliable design, especially since the piston pumps are typically installed in
harsh wastewater plant environments.
Sludge Flow Measuring System (SFMS™)
Schwing Bioset offers a patented SFMS that measures to within
+/-5% the volume of material pumped. SFMS is also a valuable diagnostic
tool as it allows the Operators to continuously monitor the performance of the
pump and schedule maintenance intervals only when necessary.
Maintenance
Maintenance on Schwing Bioset piston pumps is a simple
task. Common wear items include the pumping rams and the poppet discs and
seats for a pump equipped with a Poppet valve, and the kidney seal and cutting
ring assembly for a pump equipped with a Rock valve. The components can
typically be replaced in less than 4 hours.
Pipeline Lubrication System
Schwing Bioset’s pipeline lubrication system has proven to
significantly reduce pipeline pressure for the material being pumped. The
lubricating fluids provide a uniform thin film that separates viscous and sticky
materials from the inner wall of the pipeline and effectively lowers the
pipeline friction loss and pipeline operating pressure. In some cases the
pressures are reduced in excess of 50%.
Reducing the operating pressure makes it possible to increase
the pumping distance while at the same time reducing the operation and
maintenance costs.
A continuous annular ring evenly introduces lubricating fluid in
the direction of material flow around the inner wall of the pipeline. This
design limits the penetration of the lubricating fluid into viscous materials
maximizing the lubricating effect while minimizing the amount of fluid that must
be added to a dewatered material. Pipeline Lubrication Systems can utilize
water, oil, or polymer as the lubricating agent.
Controls
Schwing Bioset provides controls for our equipment that will
serve as the primary control panel, or simply integrate into the Customers
master control system and function only in a ‘local’ mode. Controls will
include the Customers preferred PLC’s, HMI’s, and programming software and can
be designed to any NEMA or IP requirements.
